Vinegary La Cà dal Nôn

Vinegary La Cà dal Nôn

In Modenese dialect “La Cà dal Nôn” means “The house of the grand father”

The name has not been given by chance: since our great grand parents Alfonso e Rita, till the new fifth generation, the main ingredients of our products are passion, knowledge of tradition and care. At “La Cà dal Nôn” you can get in touch with the fascinating world of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. If you're a group or a single visitor you can book your tour: you'll visit our barrels lofts, you'll taste our products and at the end, if you want, you can buy them. In these pages you have just a sample of what you'll find at “La Cà dal Nôn”: a warm atmosphere, a unique perfume, an old knowledge living anew...

The vinegary

The vinegary

The acetaia “La Cà dal Nôn” is in Vignola, halfway between Modena and Bologna, in an old stone house whose origins are lost in the mists of time. If you come and visit us, you can see our lofts with the old barrels, our room to cook the grape juice, two age-old vineyards, an entire collection of old cooper tools. During the winter we can welcome groups up to 50 people, in summer, under the big arcade up to 100 people. And if you're a single visitor, or a small group just come... you're welcome!!!

The vineyards

The vineyards

Our vineyards can be found on the slopes of Modena hills. In a small village called Savignano sul Panaro, a few minutes from the acetaia in Vignola. In the vineyards we cultivate the typical grapes for the production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar: trebbiano, lambrusco, sauvignon and pignoletto. If you come and visit us in Autumn, you can see the harvest and the pressing of the grape. From the vineyard there's a wonderful panorama of Vignola, the Monte Cimone, and if the weather is clear you can also see the first Alps. The vineyard is a short way from the medieval village of Savignano sul Panaro. Take a small time to stroll around to discover this little village!
